      Description

      A simulation study produces simulated neuroimaging data, but it does not stop there, as the full basis of comparison between simulated and empirical data often involves some sptial or temporal spectra and/or statisical comparison.

      Our data models need to be extended to cover these, otherwise the issue is let to handle them adhoc, in an inconsitent fashion.

      Simply being able to describe a coherent generative process for both empirical and 'in silico' data is a big step toward data fitting.

      We need to identify the most common analyses, how to represent them and implement them. This infrastructure should allow a user to abstract the entire study as a black box, a mapping between independent and depent variables of study, which can then be plugged into optimization techniques.
