Description
Exchange between Tim and Lia by email, in July 2015:
- One important thing in my opinion for this viewer: it is very non intuitive that at the beginning, all nodes are selected.
Usually, when you go on a new page and click on something, then it becomes selected. Here it's actually the opposite.
I took me 10 minutes to understand that. So either all nodes are unselected when you arrive, or it should be very clear that it
is already done; in particular the default color scheme is leading, because white is here brighter than green, which makes think that nodes are selected.
- In the first versions, the Connectivity Viewer had nothing selected, and you had to start from nothing.
We changed that, for the argument that in most of the situations, you take almost the entire Connectivity, and only cut few of the nodes.
I can understand what you are saying (about this not being so obvious). Do you think it will help if on the buttons "star/branch" we place some title advising user to check the "Quick Select" button to see what it is included?
- yes, that would be a good idea, or written somewhere! "x nodes selected".
- I will do both, as it is quick.
- Cool, thanks
