      Description

      It may be possible to use a spherical harmonic transform to accelerate surface simulations. This task is to investigate this possibility.

      • FreeSurfer provides the mapping from a cortical vertex to spherical position
      • These positions are not gridded, making high-performance transform implementions such as [1] useless
      • Find non-gridded implementations (either slow or non-existent)
      • Regrid the cortex on the sphere and adjust region mapping
      • Find transform of mass model dynamics
      • Regional connectivity requires applying inverse transform, propagation through white matter, then forward transform
