Discussion with Tim:
-I noticed this little white parts on the surface for the brainviewer
which render the light effect. The problem is for some simulations, I
was actually thinking the area (vertice) was not active because it was
white, whereas it was actually also active. Could we render differently
the effect of light or remove it?
- If you start rotating the surface, don't you get a clear view weather is the
signal or the light producing the white colour ?
- yes indeed, once you know it .
- Removing light is not as simple as adding a checkbox, as it requires deep changes in the
WebGL shaders, which would need to be proven really needed before having them implemented.
Also removing any lightning, would give us no information about the geometry of the scene, thus
possibly not very useful.
Anyway, I will give it a try with changing the light colour (to try make it more neutral), and I will
let you know if I get any improvement.
- I agree that removing light is not a good solution, we only need to get rid of the white stains.
I join an example of how lights look like in anatomist, which is fine for me (it is a parcellation and not activity, but I believe it is the same problem).
